The placement of the chapel at St. Vincent's East Hospital is intended to draw attention to the Christ-centered mission of the Health System. Situated off the central atrium, and immediately adjacent to the main entrance, the chapel project transforms the architecture of the hospital as well as the experience of those visiting it. The radial pattern was used to organize seating, focus attention toward the altar, and accentuate the design of the fused, stained glass windows.
