get to know alyssa Cox, our 2023 summer Architecture design intern

We're equally as excited to have Alyssa, our Summer Architecture Design Intern, with us from Mississippi State University. She is a first-year Architecture Student & will be working in our Architecture Studio this summer. Welcome to the team, Alyssa!

What made you want to study Architecture?

When I was younger, I got to experience the process of my childhood home being built. I was drawn to both the creative process and the construction during this, and it led me to choose architecture as my career path.

What’s one thing you have learned in school so far?

I have learned how to make scale models of a variety of architectural designs.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy doing almost anything creative, and I love spending time outdoors. My favorite hobbies are making t-shirts and jewelry.

Any cool hobbies?

My most unique hobby is that I have learned how to paint fishing lures.
